Three Reasons Why Christiano Ronaldo Will Not Return To Manchester United

christiano ronaldo, return to manchester united?
Immediately after we more or less shot down the rumor about Rooney quitting Manchester United (whereby Sir Alex has publicly announced that Rooney will remain in Old Trafford next year), the follow-up rumor is about the potential return of our heroic No. 7, Christiano Ronaldo.

Without a doubt, Ronaldo is one of the greatest players in the world at the moment and it will be a win-win situation if the rumor is true. Having said that, I am skeptical about the news for the following reasons:

1. Ronaldo has achieved almost every major tournaments representing Manchester United (including many of his personal awards). Thus, there is little motivation for him to better himself here (of course, we can use the achievement of treble as one of the carrot but we all know that such honor is really hard to come by).

2. Ronaldo is so rich now that money might not be one of the key motivator for his future transfer.

3. Ronaldo will be 29 next year and god knows he has how many year(s) left to better himself? Thus, Manchester United might be better off grooming at another younger version of Ronaldo equivalent.

I know this might sound a bit controversial but these are only my personal take. Of course, as the saying goes, in soccer, the ball is round, anything can happen. Let’s wait and see how it turns out in the end.

Cheers!

Ryan Giggs - The Millenium Man [Infographic]

ryan gigg, millenium man, infographicWe were bitterly knocked out of Champions League yesterday as didn't lost to the opposition team (Real Madrid). Instead, we lost to the whistle man (refused to call him a referee as his qualification is hugely in doubt!).

Anyway, enough of ranting! Let's focus on what I want to share today: the Millennium Man in the soccer history. Yes, I am talking about our very own Rayan Giggs or commonly referred to by the teammates as Giggsy.

He has just completed his 1,000th match (in his senior appearances for country and clubs) last night against Real Madrid (Champions League). His performance is still as magical as before. Age doesn't seems play any part in his performance. Simply MAGICAL!

To commemorate this milestone, Manchester United released a cool Infographic on Ryan Giggs with some cool stats and figures. For example:

Do you know that Giggy has scored a total 168 goals for Manchester United alone?
Do you know that Giggy has 144 appearances in Champions League?
And many more...

Check out the Millennium Man Infographic below:

Match Prediction : Champions League - Manchester United Vs Real Madrid [5th Mar 2013]

champions league manchester united vs real madrid

Finally, the Second Leg of the Champions League is about to kick-off in a couple of hours' time. As quoted by Real Madrid's coach, Jose Mourinho, the world will stop to watch the clash is if it's the final! I don't disagree with him, it's a Clash of the Titans and definitely worth every minute of your time.

Both teams coming into the match with positive notes (Manchester United thrashed Norwich with a 4-0 win in the last League game and Real Madrid defeated their nemesis, Barcelona twice in the span of one week). Thus, it is truly a match all soccer fans around the world are waiting for! With the home advantage, I am predicting that it will be a tight game and we will be coming out victor with a narrow win!

My Prediction is: Manchester United 2 - Real Madrid 1

Match Prediction : BPL - Manchester United Vs Norwich City [2nd Mar 2013]

BPL, Manchester United vs Norwich, prediction

In about 4 hours time, we are going into the 28th game of the BPL against Norwich City at Old Trafford. Basing on the form of Norwich's last game against Everton of which they won 2-1 at home, it would not be an easy game for Manchester United.

In view of next Tuesday's Champions League Second Leg Game against Real Madrid, Sir Alex is expected to shuffle his pack it's highly unlikely he will field two separate sides. In any case, with the home advantage and our current sterling form, I am predicting a WIN for Manchester United.

My Prediction is: Manchester United 3 - Norwich City 1

With the necessary rest granted to our key players, I have confident that they can produce the result again this time round.

Following are the form of the last 6 matches (in all competitions) of the two teams:

[earlier to later]
Man Utd : W D W W W W
Norwich  : D  L D  D  D W

Our last head-to-head game with Norwich, Away Game (17th Nov 2012) is a 1-0 LOST
